1 day early, but this blog begins "officially" on St. Patrick's Day.

The title--1000 miles to 40.

The mission: I--the lazy wanna-be runner/walker/runner person who has completed 2 half marathons and 2 full marathons by the time she was 34--am on a mission.

In 2014, I will complete 1000 miles before I am 40.

It can be via any method that involves me transporting myself by my feet.

Too much? Not enough?

Well--here is the deal. I have no idea the average miles per day. Okay-if I calculate quickly using my handy dandy excel spreadsheet...brb...

That is slightly less than 4.2 miles per day.

Whoa--that is like... a lot.

Well, sure. It is. But to me, that is the easy part. Getting UP. Now, that is the challenge. I like to log my miles in the morning. I am not a lunch time nor afternoon exerciser. And evening?  No can do. That is sleepy time. Or wasty time on the internet time.

So, mornings it is.  1000 miles. And it all begins with one comfy step in my costs way too much but so well worth the price running shoe.   But I will be walking.

Let's begin....
